Curtis, you were one of the ones who made it and I am truly heartbroken by the fact that you are gone. I always enjoyed working with at Gateway and came to respect you as a coworker and love you as a friend. You were passionate in recovery and wanted to make sure that everyone had the same opportunities as you. It will not be the same without you.
Adam, I offer my deepest condolences and prayers for you and your family in this time of loss. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a sibling, let alone a twin. I know that you will continue to honor Curtis' legacy. Love you,

My condolences and prayers are with the whole family and Skylar. Curtis was such a dear friend and inspiration, a push to keep going, a man after God's own heart. I'm so sad I'm unable to be there tonight to pay my respects in person.. Peace and comfort to all of you.

My sincere condolences to Curtis' family and friends. I had the honor of meeting Curtis a couple of times in the last few years. He was an intelligent, dedicated, and caring man who truly looked at the addict as a person, not a burden. He has helped my daughter several times and I was truly grateful and relieved that someone reached out to help her, not turn their back. As some of us know, addiction is a horrific, exhausting disease. I can only say "thank you" Curtis for being a blessing to my daughter and our family. You were an angel here on earth. I'm sure God has welcomed you with His loving, open arms and said "well done my faithful servant." RIP

Another beautiful soul taken too soon. I was so sorry to hear of Curtis' passing. My heart and prayers go out to his family. He made such a difference to so many. He will be greatly missed.

With deepest sympathy to Curtis's family. I completed my bachelors @Wilmington with Curtis and I admired his admiration for helping others and his ability to speak about addiction and recovery. Every time he spoke in classes, and gave presentations his intelligence shined. He was highly respected for his insights in the field of behavioral science, and real life situations he could relate to. May you find peace. To Adam and his family, may good memories and love fill your hearts during this difficult time.

Im so sorry to hear this. Curtis was such an inspiration to so many battling addiction and was always there to support the nursing staff at the Wilmington ED. Prayers to family and friends. God Bless!!

Our memories of Curtis are of a gentleman who was loving, warmhearted,, respectful and cared deeply for his family. May his soul rest in peace with the Angels who have gone before him and welcome him with open arms to eternity. His vibrant spirit remains with all who knew him and loved him. We send our deepest condolences to the family of Curtis. We did not know Curtis, but that is irrelevant to the point. The loss of a loved one to this horrific demon is just astonishing. Sending prayers to the family and all of Curtis's friends god bless all.........
