Ernest A. Manucci, Sr.

Ernest A. Manucci, Sr., son of the late Armando and Theresa Manucci, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on September 19, 2017 from a short, courageous battle with cancer. Ernie was surrounded by his loving family, his wife, Dianne; his son, Nicholas; his daughter, Erin; his nephews, Joseph and Michael; his sisters in law, Stacy, Terri, Cathy, Sharon; and his brother in law, Scott.

Ernie was a very patriotic American. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Navy on the USS J F Kennedy. He served his community as well with a long career in law enforcement with Delaware Capitol Police. Ernie adored his three granddaughters Mya, Aaliya, and Sofiya. 

The family would like to thank the Delaware Capitol Police and Ernie's colleagues for all of their support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12pm at St. Helena Catholic Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809, where friends may visit with the family from 10:30am to 12pm.  Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
