Today I read about the passing of both your mother and father. I must have been elsewhere when your father passed away. I am not good at expressing condolences but I wanted to send a thought and a prayer to you all. Ruth Anne

I'm so sorry to hear about you mom's passing. I guess that I missed Bills' passing this summer. I grew up about 20 blocks towards the inlet down from Bill and your mom . When I married in 1987 and moved away I'm guessing they had been down there (or at least owned the house) for 8 years or so already.
Your mom and dad were good people who made a lot of friends back in the day. Though he was an "up stater!" -you've got to understand, hardly anyone lived there year round back then!!-they both fit Lewes well and enjoyed life. Our family had a flooring business back then(54 years)-your parents always added to the local economy back when it really meant something being self employed.
You mom was the "household mom"-she took care of everything in the home and for the family-period. Bill always was a rugged guy-not a tall or large man but always had a great tan from working and playing outside!! He was especially proud to have served his country in war-as I recall he had both the scars and the tattoo's to prove it!! He always waved when I would go by heading home.
Your parents spent a lot of time and sweat on that home-make sure you keep it in the family. When my parents moved in town after 40 years, it's just not the same!!
Both your family and your parents will be in our prayers. When I go by the house this summer I'll stop and give my condolences in person. Take care
Sincerely
