Etha Mae Casperson

Etha Mae Casperson, 88, of Lewes, DE, formerly of Claymont, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Foulk Manor South, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William H. Casperson, who passed away July 21, 2009, and with whom she shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in Linwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret Webster Howard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Claymont Fire Company and the Disabled American Veterans.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Delaware Hospice and the nurses and staff at Foulk Manor South.

She is survived by three daughters, Etha Hanby and her husband, Vernon, of Newport, DE, Shirley Henderson and her husband, John of New Castle, DE, Nancy Bazela and her husband, William of Wilmington, DE; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Holt and her husband, Rob, Terri Vaughn and her husband, Tom, William Bazela and his wife, Karen, Laurie Conway and her husband, Bill, and Jessica Bazela; 5 great-grandchildren, Robbie Holt, Taylor Holt, Faythe Holt, Maggie Vaughn and Hanna Conway; and a nephew Robert Wright and his wife, Carol.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 2 - 3 pm at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE, where the funeral service will begin at 3 pm. Interment will be in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2306 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
