Helen Ann Zaroda

Helen Ann Zaroda, age 93 of Claymont, DE, died on July 25, 2017 at her home.

Helen graduated from Newport Township High School in Wanamie, PA in June of 1941.  She was a bookkeeper for Young Lumber Co., Strom Electronics Inventory Control, and Altair Airlines.  Helen loved gardening, cooking, oil painting, dancing and taking care of her family.  She was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Zaroda, who died on September 22, 2014.  She is survived by her daughters Elaine Titus and her companion Brian Stockton and Pamela Yocum and her companion Michael McCool, grandchildren Greg Titus and his wife Hope, Christa Titus, Lawrence Yocum Jr., Jason Yocum and Michelle Susanen and her husband Donald, great-grandchildren Renee Conway, Joshlyn Susanen, Hailey Groves-Yocum and Nathan Groves-Yocum, and great-great-grandchildren Lilly Melson and Mark Melson.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.  A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Helena Catholic Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809 at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, DE.
