James E. Paxton, Sr.

James E. Paxton, Sr., age 81, of New Castle, DE, formerly of Clay County, WV, passed away November 10, 2017 at Christiana Hospital. 

James graduated from Clay County High School in West Virginia and retired from General Motors after 32 years of service.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Army.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis J. Paxton and his son, James E. Paxton, Jr.  He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Diane Hatcher of Gainesville, GA; sons, Robert Paul Paxton and Roy Lee Paxton, both of New Castle, DE; grandchildren, Robert Paxton, Jr. Stephanie Nowlin, Brittany Paxton, Kristina Rail, Damien Schalles, Scotty Hatcher, Michael Paxton; and 6 great-grandchildren.
