Joyce S. Macielag
September 13, 2017Joyce Schneider Macielag, 64, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully September 13th, 2017 at the Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE.
Joyce, formerly from Claymont DE, graduated from Claymont High School in 1971. She worked for various companies including Watkins Trucks, Capano, Leon Weiner Associates, and most recently The Commonwealth Group. She was an active member in the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts when her children were young.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. Schneider and Marjorie Williams; her premature twins, Brett and Brad Macielag; and her first grandson, Brayden Robert Downer-Macielag.
She is survived by her loving husband, Skip Macielag; her two wonderful children, Bethany and Robert "Brett" Macielag; and her precious grandson, Robert Brayden Macielag; her siblings, Sandra Rydel, Robert Schneider, Connie Van Buren, Richard Schneider; and many nieces and nephews. And, we can't forget her beloved parrot, Reggie!
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00am on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, followed by a Memorial Service at 11am. Burial will be private.
