Kathleen Lynn Walsh

Kathleen Lynn Walsh, age 58, of Claymont, DE, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 4th,  2017 at home. Kathleen was born in Wilmington in 1959.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Patrick J. Walsh Jr.;  her three children, daughters, Shannon Walsh of Wilmington, Elizabeth McDowell and husband James McDowell of Charlotte, NC, and her son, Patrick J Walsh III and his fiancée Andrea Krick of Claymont; and her 5 grandchildren, Tristan, Kaidence, Brody, Patrick  and Jakobe. She also leaves behind 9 brothers and sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.  Kathleen was predeceased by her mother, Mary C. Hocking Clough and her father, James H. Clough, Sr.

Kathleen was a huge Eagles fan. She loved spending time with her husband and family, and was also a huge Springsteen fan.  Her biggest joy in life was her grandchildren, her children and taking care of her family.  She was a beautiful spirit with a huge heart, one much too big for this earth and anyone who knew her was blessed in that alone. She will be terribly missed.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2017at 11am at Gebhart Funeral Home.  3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where friends may visit with the family from 10am to 11am.   Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Kennett Square, PA.
