Michael Edwin "Mikey" "Clemmer" Clemm

Michael Edwin Clemm “Mikey” “Clemmer”, age 52, of Newark, DE formerly of Claymont, DE, died on June 10, 2017 in the Compassionate Care Hospice Unit at St. Francis Hospital.

Mike was a graduate of Claymont High School, Class of 1982.  He was an Electrician for 32 years.  He was previously employed with Quantum Controls for 10 years. Mike was a member of Blue Hen Bass Anglers & FLW.  He enjoyed NASCAR, his favorite NASCAR driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, and all types of music, riding Motocross bikes and taking rides through the valley.  Mike especially enjoyed gatherings with friends and family.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Richard Clemm, his step father, Dutch Lauryssens and his nephew, Tyler Jordan.

Mike is survived by his wife of 23 years, Andrea (Angi) Clemm of Newark, DE; daughter, Paige Clemm of Newark, DE; brother, Jeffery Clemm and wife, Kimberly Clemm of Claymont DE; his mother, MaryLou Lauryssens of Glen Mills, PA; step-mother, Nancy Clemm of Punta Gorda, FL; niece, Victoria; nephews, James III, Eric, Antonio; known to many other nieces and nephews as “Uncle Mike”; many aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice for their loving care and support.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Viewing at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from !0:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., where a Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m.  Burial will be private.
