I had the pleasure of having Nick in my home as he was a great friend to my son, Phillip
Morley. They spent time together at Little Keswick and it was a joy to see them together.
Nick will be a great loss to all the children he supported and mentored at the hospital. May your hearts be lifted during this difficult time in knowing what a gift he was to others.
Sincerely,
Claudia

Dear DeCrease Family-

I am so sorry your loss. I was a fellow Read Aloud volunteer at the hospital with Nick and really enjoyed him. He had such a vibrant personality and a big heart. He could always cheer me up and make me laugh. His infectious personality will be greatly missed!

Sending you love during this difficult time!

Polly,Joe,&Tara,
You all know my love for Nick and how much his friendship meant to me. We have been there for each other for so many years through so many things. I will never forget his smile and all the wonderful thing that he did for me and Ethan like taking him to Boy Scouts on camping trips and helping him build his derby car. Nick was always there for us. He was one of my best friends and I loved him. I will miss him and I’m so sorry for your loss. I know how much he loved you we talked about you guys all the time. He could drive you guys crazy I know but he truly loved you of that I know. Please know that God has his arms around him and his is walking in heaven with his grandparents making everyone laugh. I can’t imagine how difficult this is but if you need anything I’m here. I love you guys.

I hired Nick for ThinkFirst Delaware. It's usually an hour interview, but Nick and I ended up talking for three hours. He was so personable and so funny. He was a great ThinkFirst speaker. He was sincere and honest with a bit of humor thrown in. Kids loved him. They remembered him when they saw him elsewhere. He was a remarkable young man and I will miss him terribly. I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ginny: Thank you for your kind words. Nick adored you, he talked of you often. He was so angry when you left ThinkFirst and he was sorry of your illeness. We hope you are doing well! He left ThinkFirst soon after you - it was not the same program without you. Polly DeCrease

To Nick's family,
I am Joey Marroni's mother. I had the pleasure of meeting and loving Nick since he was a friend, mentor and big brother to my son. Nick gave Joe his first job and first paycheck. He was never easy on Joey, staying on him about doing things right and living the right way. I could go on and on about our times with him.....our hearts break for you during this time of loss. I saw Nick for who he was, an exceptional person, a wonderful man, a true go getter in life (even after his accident). It would have been a glorious day to see him driving in North Carolina to visit us in his RV. Myself, my son and my daughter will truly miss your son.

Tara, Polly and Joe,

We can only offer you our prayer for deep peace in knowing Nick is in our lord's house. Tara spoke of him often with great affection and love. Although we did not know Nick, personally, as parents, our hearts ache for the overwhelming loss you all are feeling and know there is nothing we can really say that will take away your pain. May God give you the strength to live your lives as Nick would want you to do.

Polly, Joe and Tara,
Our family is so very sad to hear of your loss. Nick was a great founding member of the DE Sled Snipers and definitely always made us laugh. He was a good role model in showing that a wheelchair did not have to slow any of them down. Prayers to all of you and I'm sure Nick is making some angels laugh right now.
