Patricia Ann (Acton) Bennett

Patricia Ann (Acton) Bennett, age 84, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on March 11, 2018 at Wilmington Hospital, surrounded by family.

Patricia graduated from St. Elizabeth High School and was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Parish.

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, William J. and Regina E. Acton; her son, Thomas A. Bennett, Jr.; her sisters, Gertrude McGuinness, Margaret Farrell, Mary DiGiacoma, Barbara McNulty, Bernadette Strzalka; and brother, William J. Acton, Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Tim and Curt (Renee’) of Wilmington, Chris (Monica) of Georgetown, Kevin (Carol) of Plantation, FL, Joseph (Eli) of San Miguel, Mexico; daughters, Karen Dougherty (Doug Wason) and Eileen Russo (Dave) of Wilmington; her sisters, Jean Kern, Sr. Frances Acton OSF, Gerry Simpkiss; along with 11 grandchildren, Nicki Botsford (Brian), Anthony (Darcey) and Michael (Veronica) Russo, Erin and Ryan Dougherty, Colleen Lennon (Joseph), Ryan, Carissa, Curt (Cally), Kyle, Lisa Bennett; and 13 great grandchildren,  Dylan, Cameron, Casey and Allison Botsford, Davis, Makenna, Cade, Brayden and Logan Russo, Adeline and Simon Lennon, Nora Baldwin and Zoe Bennett. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
