Robert N. Trego

Robert Neil Trego, age 84, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Shamokin, PA, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 in the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Hospital.

Robert was a graduate of Shamokin Area High School, Coal Township, Class of 1950.  Mr. Trego served his country as a First Class Airman in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 to 1956. He pursued a career as an Air Traffic Controller at New Castle Airport and Philadelphia International Airport, retiring in 1982.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Anne L. Trego and daughter, Lynn A. Trego Durgin.  He is survived and will be lovingly missed by his son, Robert D. Trego of Claymont, DE; daughter, Jennifer L. Trego of Newport, DE; granddaughter, Jessica L. Frederick of Newport, DE; 2 great-granddaughters, Kira M. Frederick and Izabella R. Godwin. 

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at 8:30 PM at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where friends may visit with the family from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.  Burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 701 N. Clayton St., 6th Floor DuPont Bldg. Wilmington, DE 19805.
