Ronald L. Pellegrino

Ronald Lee Pellegrino, age 58, of Claymont, DE, died on August 2, 2017 at home.

Ron attended Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Claymont High School.  Ron worked at K-Mart right out of high school, holding a variety of positions in as well as management and most recently as Hardliners Merchandiser.  Ron received many awards during his employment and most recently a 40 year service award.  He started at the K-Mart Claymont Facility in the Tri State Mall and later transferred to the Newark, Delaware facility where he was still employed. 

Ron donated money to numerous organizations over the years as well as a donor for the Red Cross.  Ron also made numerous contributions to many schools for the deaf.  He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Ron was an avid Philadelphia sports fan all of his life and especially loved the Philadelphia Phillies and Philadelphia Eagles.

Ron was very close to his parents, Horace Pellegrino who died in 1991 and Helen (Zitnick) Pellegrino who died in 2001. He is survived by his uncle, John Zitnick of Columbia South Carolina, numerous cousins including Frank Dolski of Doylestown, PA, Rosemary (Dolski) Montello of Glen Mills, PA, Walter Byrne of Aston, PA, Louis Byrne of Aston, PA, and Jack Byrne of Delaware.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue,  Wilmington, DE 19805, at 10:30 a.m.
