Susan Trimble Schaeffer

Susan T. Schaeffer, age 63, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Trenton, NJ passed away November 21, 2017 at home.

Susan was a graduate of Villa Victoria Academy of Trenton, NJ.  She studied Theatre Arts and Philosophy at Arcadia University, Glenside, PA. She earned her Masters Degree in Theatre at Villanova University.  Susan worked in all aspects of theatre, acting, costume design and directing.  She was adjunct faculty at Villanova University.  Susan directed, acted and designed costumes at Villanova University, in New York City, Philadelphia and Wilmington.

Susan Schaeffer was a founding member of Camp Festive in the Summer of 1984.  Susan is well known as Ms. Washington Avenue to her friends and fans in Holgate, New Jersey.

Susan was predeceased by her parents, George and Betty Trimble; Aunt Mary and Uncle Jack Mannifield.  She is survived by her husband, Eric Schaeffer; her daughter, Elizabeth; and her son, Evan; as well as her many, many friends in Holgate, New Jersey, Philadelphia and Wilmington.

A Viewing will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 10am to 12pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12pm.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Planned Parenthood, the ACLU and the American Cancer Society.
