Catherine L. (Burke) Cromer

Catherine Louise (Burke) Cromer, age 61, of Claymont, DE, formerly of Chester, PA, went to the Lord on September 17, 2018 at Christiana Hospital of Newark, DE. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Calhoun) Burke. She graduated from Claymont High School in 1976 and worked for A&P/Superfresh for 30 years. In 1982, she married Raymond Cromer, Sr.

Catherine was an avid lover of camping, but the beach was her favorite place to be. Always seen with a smile on her face, she would do anything for anyone. Above everything else, she loved her family and they were her life.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Raymond Cromer Sr.; son, Raymond Cromer Jr.; son, Kyle Cromer, all of Claymont, DE; sister, Patricia (Burke) Hayes, Bear, DE; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents and a sister, Mary (Burke) Smith.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 10am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. All are welcome to come celebrate her life. Graveside services will be held privately by the family.
