Charles "Chuck" Roy Dover, age 55, of Claymont, DE died on Tuesday May 2nd, 2017.

Charles was an accomplished journeyman machinist for over 30 years. Through his years as a machinist he became a well-respected member of his trade. He enjoyed blacksmithing and became an esteemed member of the Blacksmith Guild of central Maryland in which he was presented with the "Unsung Hero" award.

He was husband to his beloved wife, Janet Dover (Graffus) for 28 years. Charles was a dedicated father to Nina Bond (Dover), Theodore Gerard Bond, Sonya Plicque (Dover), and Donald Plicque III. He was a loving grandfather to his grand-daughters Savannah Rose Bond, Makenna Monroe Plicque, and Dakota Rae Plicque. He was the son of Edward Dover and brother to Cheryllee Dryer (Dover), David Dryer, Brenda Riley (Dover), Travis Riley including his many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Charles was predeceased by his mother Barbara Ann Dover (Talley) and his brother Edward "Ted" Dover.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Viewing on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at The United Methodist Church of The Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., where a Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Faithful Friends of Wilmington, 12 Germay Drive, Wilmington, DE 19804 or to the Blood Bank of Delmarva, 100 Hygeia Drive, Newark, DE 19713.
