Diane Adaire Johnston

Diane Adaire Johnston, age 58, of Claymont, DE passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at home, surrounded by her family.

Diane graduated from Charles W. Bush School in 1980.  She attended and worked at  Elwyn Center of Wilmington, DE for 32 years. Diane was a member of Brandywine Social Club and Delaware Special Olympics.

Diane is survived by her sisters, Linda Johnston of St. Louis, MO and Donna Green of New Castle, DE; stepmother, Madelyn Johnston of Las Vegas, NV; stepbrothers and stepsister, William F. Richards, Jr. of Claymont, DE, Robert Richards of New Castle, DE, Donald Richards of Wilmington, DE, Kathleen Izon of Northamton, PA and John Richards of Muskogee, OK.7

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 2, 2017 at 12noon at United Methodist Church of the Atonement, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where friends may visit with the family from 11am – 12noon. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to  Special Olympics Delaware, 619 South College Avenue, Newark, DE 19716.
