John Earl Pearson

John Earl Pearson, age 66, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Claymont, DE died Tuesday, October 23, 2018, suddenly at home.

John graduated from Claymont High School in 1970. John was employed by Suez Water Company (formerly Wilmington Suburban and United Water Company) with 43 years of service. John was a member of the Church of the Ascension in Claymont, DE.  He enjoyed collecting and playing guitar. John also enjoyed attending concerts and rooting for his favorite local sports teams.

John was preceded in death by his father, Earl A. Pearson, mother, Doris E. (Beatty) Pearson, brother, Charles R. Pearson and niece, Amanda D. Rowe. He is survived by sisters, Susan E. Rowe of Wilmington, DE, Mary Kathleen Ross of Hawthorne, FL, Cindy Oakman (Frank) of Wilmington, DE, brother, David W. Pearson (Megan) of Claymont, DE, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held  Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at Gebhart Funeral Home 3401 Philadelphia Pike Claymont, DE 19703. Services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018, 10am at Gebhart Funeral Home with burial in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle, DE.

In memory of John, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund at Church of the Ascension, 3717 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.
