Lester C. Pantuliano, our dear grandpop, father, family member, coworker and friend, left us July 23, 2019 at his home at the age of sixty-eight. He fought his health challenges bravely without complaints and with a joke and a smile since March 2016.
Les was predeceased by his father, James Pantuliano; and his mother, Barbara (Hamm) Pantuliano. His memories are held dearly by his survivors, his son, Ryan N. Pantuliano and fiancé, Heather Wilcox; his granddaughter, Athena Pantuliano; his brothers, James (Nancy) and Joseph (Susan) Pantuliano; his niece, Michelle (Tony) Tomczyk, who provided visitation and companionship in his final years; and his friends and caregivers, Kathy, Harry, Clay and Adam Deemer. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Les was employed at the Phillips 66 Trainer Refinery for over three decades, both as an Outside Operator and Console Operator. He was made the Union Full Time Safety Representative later in his career. Les was a prominent member of the Union representing the Rank and File of the OCAW Local 8-234 during his employment serving on the Executive Board and Contract Negotiating Committee. His wit and wisdom lightened the workload for all of his coworkers and supervision.
The family will hold a Celebration of Les' Life on Saturday, August 3, 2019 beginning at 12:00 Noon at the United Steel Workers' Union Hall, 1522 Chichester Ave., Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, Les wished to be remembered with donations in his name to the Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research, 170 Possum Hollow Rd., Newark, DE. 19711.
