Philip A. Bond Obituary

Philip A. Bond, 66, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away at his home on August 17, 2019, surrounded by family.  He was born to parents Robert and Lilian (Stolnabb) Bond, on August 4, 1953, in Wildwood, New Jersey where he grew up playing baseball, basketball and football.  He spent his early career in Atlantic City and started a family in South Jersey before relocating to Wilmington, DE in the early 90s.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Anne Marie Esposito; his three children, Rachel and her husband Brian Lemon, Zachary and his wife Estella Eun Kyung Lee and Robert Michael; his three grandchildren, Braden, Emma and Sawyer Lemon; his sister, Catherine Bond; and numerous extended family and friends.  Philip was preceded in death by his parents, two older sisters, Jennifer Bond and Robin Thompson and an older brother, Charles Bond.

Phil was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and a generous friend to all.  He worked in sales for over 30 years before he retired due to his health.  He was an avid golfer and devoted Philadelphia sports fan who greatly enjoyed historical novels and movies.  But, more than anything, Phil dearly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, all of whom he was extremely proud.  He will be forever cherished for his strength and selflessness and fondly remembered for his sense of fun and engaging storytelling.
