Rose Marie Harris, age 80, of New Castle DE, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Marie was a God loving, faithful servant, who rejoiced in the Lord and his many blessings.  She was a devoted wife, mother and talented homemaker who cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends, all of whom she deeply loved.  We will always remember her “Thank you to God” parties.

She worked for various companies including Allied Kid, Delaware Valley Meat and retired from Shop Rite in Stanton.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ross Harris.  She is survived by daughter, Susan Rude and her husband Wayne; daughter, Lorraine Cochran; daughter, Nancy Woerner and her husband Franny; son, Ross Harris and his wife Becky; daughter, Veronica Owens and her husband Irven; granddaughter, Angelina Blessing Owens, who was a special blessing; grandson, Christopher Harris, who was like a son to her; sister, Carol Lopez and her husband Blas.  Other survivors include 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Monday, July 3, 2017 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 521 Harmony St., New Castle, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.  Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105, Attn: Memorial Dept.
