July 31, 1947 ~ November 4, 2009 (age 62) 62 Years OldHi Tommy: I am sure you don't remember me, as I haven't seen you since you were 12 years old and an extremly handsome fellow. My mom & dad were Aunt Mickey and Uncle Dity from Phila. I am also Joanne's sister. The news about Dad really left us speechless. We were just with Dad in June Laughing and kidding around and how happy he was to be moving to FL Your dad and mom were a great pair, your dad thought the sun shined through your mom. He let her do and buy anything she wanted. They both loved you very very much and are now both looking over you. I hope you have a beautiful and happy marriage as they did. I understand you will be visiting Joanne soon and I am hoping to see you both then. May God Bless you both and keep you safe. Love Cousin Verna
I met Tom for the first time the Friday before Easter, 2003. Bryan and I had been dating for a few months, and he brought me home to Wilmington to meet his father. I remember feeling really nervous, but Tom opened the door and made me feel comfortable in about two seconds, and then had me laughing every moment after that.
Meeting Tom gave me the courage to acknowledge and embrace something--that I was falling in love with Bryan. When I met Tom, I realized that Bryan really was the man I had been hoping he was: a kind, gentle, and beautiful man. A special man. The kind of man you get to spend your life with if you are very, very lucky. I had sensed all of those things about Bryan, but I was also afraid he was too good to be true. And then I met Tom, and I trusted what my heart had been telling me about Bryan. A man like Tom could only have a son as wonderful as my Bryan is.
Tom gave me the greatest gift I have ever received. For that reason, and so many more, I am so incredibly grateful to him. I love him deeply and miss him dearly.
For those who are grieving so terribly right now, please know that Tom lives on in Bryan. Bryan has his dad's smile and sense of humor. Like Tom, he tends to tell the same stories over and over, but you love hearing them. He shares his dad's love of the Phillies, and his appreciation for a cold beer while sitting in a recliner at night, relaxing. And most importantly, Bryan has Tom's wonderful, beautiful spirit.
Tom,
You will be so missed! You were the kindest gentlest soul I have ever known. You were the shining light in my Mom's life and I will forever be grateful to you for that! We were so blessed to have had you in our lives.

To Tom's family: I am very sorry for your loss. I've known Tom for quite a few years...first introduced by Audrey who lived across the street from your family. My thoughts are with you.
Tom made my Friday nights special with his sense of humor and witty remarks. Laughter was the agenda. God has called home my tax man and a great guy.
We will all miss you.
Rest in peace Tom. You were a beautiful human being. God will take care of you in his home now. We will miss you immensely.
To Tom's family: Our sympathies are with you. We are sorry that we cannot make it to the services on Tuesday morning. May God give you strength during this difficult time.
Tom will be missed very much by our family. His smile and the joy he brought to all of us will never be forgotten. You are all in our prayers.
