Aimee Christina Nowak, age 50, of Wilmington, DE passed away suddenly surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

Born in Wilmington, DE to the late Thomas Nowak, Sr. and Leslie Nowak, she graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and completed her LPN certificate. Aimee was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Emerson.

Aimee worked as a CNA and LPN in the medical industry for many years. Aimee thoroughly enjoyed helping others and caring for the elderly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Aimee loved nature, animals, reading books, cooking and most of all spending quality time with her family at the Delaware beaches and Jersey shores.

Aimee will be remembered by her wonderful personality, sense of humor and huge loving heart. Aimee is survived by her son, Gavin Emerson; her two siblings, Melanie Oberg (Mark Oberg) and Thomas Nowak, Jr.; as well as her nephews, Bennett Oberg and Aaron Nowak.

Aimee was a loving mother to her son Gavin and a very generous and giving person.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.  

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 10am to 11am at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 where a Memorial Service will begin at 11am.  Burial will be private.
