Obituary

Albert Bennett “Hog” age 70, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on February 19, 2021.

He was discharge from the USAF in 1974. When Al was in better health, he enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle, bowling on a league and was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan. 

Al is survived by his wife, Mary Linda Bennett; his children, Dana (Michael Finegan), Dawn (Ben Lobst) and Sean Rispoli; grandchildren, Michael (Sofia) Finegan III, Jordan Maxwell and Sean Rispoli. Al was a loving husband to his wife Linda for over 30 years and will missed by his loving buddy, “Buddy his cat”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Irene Bennett; son, Daniel Bennett; brothers and sisters; and grandson, Anthony Russo.

His family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Veterans Hospital in Wilmington DE and the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.  All attending will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing to maintain compliance with State COVID-19 Regulations.  Admittance will be regulated. A Service and Committal will be held privately at a later date at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware.
