Albertina D. Bucci, age 92, of Claymont, Delaware, died on Thursday the 15th of December 2022, at the Wilmington Hospital.

She attended Claymont High School, graduating in 1948.

Her work history includes 35 years of service for the Diamond State Telephone Company, where she excelled in customer service, retiring in 1983. She spent some time working for Strawbridge and Clothier, as a wrap artist. She was an integral part of helping her son in the opening and organization of Mid Atlantic Music, where she worked as THE office manager.

She has been a member of Holy Rosary Church for most of her life, and has been an active contributor to a host of charities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Bucci Sr. and her granddaughter, Tina Nicole Werkheiser, both of Claymont.

She is survived by her children, Linda Bucci, Nicholas Bucci, Jr., and Joanne Bucci all of Claymont; her grandchildren, Nicholas C., Bruce Werkheiser (Courtney), Megan Santiago Werkheiser (Joshua), Gabrielle Bucci (Gary Maass); her great grandchildren, Jason, Bruce, Nicholas, Evan and Alivia.

She so enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas, cooking and preparing the feast for Christmas Eve. Vacationing in Ocean City, MD was among her favorite time away from home, always with her family. Spending time doing crossword puzzles, assembling jigsaw puzzles with her grandchildren, and listening to her son play the guitar and sing, were among the highlights of her life. And, of course, her beloved cat Paulie was a cherished companion.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am.  Interment immediately following at Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
