Ann Marie Tidwell

Ann Marie Tidwell, age 60, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023, at Christiana Hospital.

Ann Marie was a graduate of St. Hedwig School and Newark High School and had attended Delaware Technical Community College in the Nursing Program.  She was a caring housewife who loved to cook and bake, and enjoyed traveling to places like the Grand Canyon, San Diego Zoo and Medieval Times.  Ann Marie loved kicking back and watching NASCAR and True Crime.  She also dabbled in ghost hunting and was a die-hard Miami Dolphins fan.  Nothing compared to her as to becoming a grandmother. 

Surviving Ann Marie are her fiancé and loving companion, Kent Pickford; her sons, Richard Smith III and Robert P. Smith; her granddaughter, McKenzie Smith; her mother, Beatrice Nickerson of New Castle, DE; her father, Francis Tidwell of Lancaster, PA; her sister, Patty Weicker of Bear, DE; and her sister-in-law, Robin Jackson Teder and her husband, Jeremy and their son, Mason.

A visitation will be held at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
