Barbara D'Aguiar-Wilson Obituary

Barbara D'Aguiar-Wilson, age 82, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 after a two-year battle with lung cancer. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Barbara retired from Acme Markets in 2005 after 40 years of dedicated service. She took great joy in her role as a cashier and the many conversations she had with customers.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Maria D'Aguiar Cobb, and her husband, Goodwin Cobb IV; grandsons, Goodwin Cobb V and Edward Cobb; and granddaughter, Victoria Cobb. She is also survived by her son, John Marigliano, Jr., his wife, Lena, granddaughter, Crystal, grandson, John Marigliano III; and great-granddaughters, Miabella, Lyla, and Luciana.

Barbara’s beloved husband of 28 years, Ken Wilson, also survives her, along with his daughter, his son, Kenny, and their grandchildren, Brody, Fin, and Waverley. She and Ken lovingly raised their grandson, Nathan Curtis, together. She is further survived by her sisters, who reside in Philadelphia and Wisconsin.

Barbara attended Frankford High School in Philadelphia and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Claymont. She had a passion for coin collecting and M&M stuffed animals and was a lifelong fan of rock and roll music and the Philadelphia Eagles. She loved playing the slots at the casino and took pride in caring for her favorite plant, “Lady,” at home.

Barbara’s faith in God was a source of comfort, and she is now at peace, reunited with the love of her life, Edward “Eddie” D'Aguiar, her late husband who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Schommer (Breisch), in 2016; her father, Harry Breisch, in 1950; and her brothers, Ernie and Harry.

Barbara will be deeply missed by her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A Viewing will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 from 10:00am until 11:30am, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11:30am.  Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
