Carol A. (Chester) McClane, age 61, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother. She held the title of caregiver in many aspects of her life and always ensured the people she loved were well cared for. She would make calls to family several times a week just to check-in and see how they were doing. Carol lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like listening to music and spending time with family. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her long-term significant other, Dave Thompson; her children, James McClane (Katie), Michelle McClane (Adam); grandchildren, Jackson, Lennox, Ayden, Adelynn, Axton, Cade; her brothers, Michael Chester (Susan) and Stephen Chester. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Chester.

A Visitation will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10am to 11am at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a Memorial Service will begin at 11am.  Burial will be private.
