Carolyn O’Hanlon Boulden, age 83, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 2024. 
Carol was born on October 12, 1940 to the late Roy and Cora Elder. Carol grew up in Claymont, DE and was a proud Claymont Indian. She was a member of the American Legion and Marcus Hook Old Timers Association. Carol had many jobs over the years and there wasn’t much she couldn’t do. She retired from the State of Delaware Probation & Parole. 
Carol spent her younger years traveling all over the world with her late husband, Joseph W. O’Hanlon. She loved dancing and being the center of attention. She never passed up a shopping trip or a martini. Carol loved spending time with her family and her loyalty and generosity will be missed by all. 
In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by her son, Joseph O’Hanlon; daughter, Lavinnia L. O’Hanlon; brothers, William and James Elder; sister, Louise Pini; and great granddaughter, Angel Garland. Carol is survived by her husband, Alan Boulden; son, John F. O’Hanlon (Debra) of Wilmington, DE; twin sister, Cora Smith (Dr Raymond Smith) of Reading, PA; stepson, John Boulden (Emily) of Sevierville, TN; stepson, Ronald Boulden (Colleen) of New Castle, DE; stepson, Andrew Boulden (Dawn) of Laurel, DE; granddaughter; Lauren Toscano Shupe (Jesse); granddaughter Katherine O’Hanlon Pechickjian (Nick); granddaughter, Stacy Toscano Heslip (Sean); granddaughter Shannon O’Hanlon Manerchia (Angelo); grandson, Joseph Paul O’Hanlon; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Monday, January 15, 2024, from 10:00am until 11:00am, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery.
