Charlene M. Bell

Charlene M. Bell, 64 of Upland, PA died on Wednesday July 19, 2023 at Crozer Hospital.

Charlene graduated from Chester High School in 1977.  She was a supervisor of food services for various institutions and supervisor of custodial services at Delaware County Community College before she retired.

Char was a very kind person with a big heart whose kindness touched all she met.  She would do anything for anyone and was loved by everyone she met.  Char was a kind soul and could see the good in everyone.  She loved her family and getting together, especially on the holidays. She loved animals, enjoyed bowling, music, the Philadelphia Phillies, wrestling, photography, going to casinos, Linvilla Orchards and fairs.  She also enjoyed having lunch with her family and many friends and going on family vacations.

She is predeceased by her husband Tom Taylor, parents Edith and Charles Bell and brother Robert Simmons. 

Charlene is survived by her sister Linda A. Ferguson and husband Michael of Hockessin, Delaware, nephew Reginald May and his wife Dorothy of Claymont, Delaware, nieces Christine Brady of Wilmington, Delaware and Marie McNulty and husband Michael of Wilmington, Delaware, two great nieces and many cousins. She adored her nephew, nieces and great nieces and loved having them visit.

A Funeral Service will be held at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont on Friday July 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm where visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
