Debra Wyatt Sullivan, 60 of New Castle, Delaware passed away after a long battle of COPD on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, at Christiana hospital.
Debra is now at peace with her husband and best friend, Michael Wyatt. Preceded in death by her parents, Edward Martin, Sr. and Grace Martin; along with her siblings, Edward Martin Jr., Anthony Martin, Bopper (Larry) Martin and Gary Martin. Survived by sister, Theresa Martin (Jeff Martin) in Hillsville, Virginia; her children, Jessika Wyatt (William Black) of Laurel Delaware, Brandy Wyatt of New Castle, Delaware and Michael Wyatt II (Danielle Luce) of Cape Coral, Florida. Her many grandchildren were her joy, strength and determination which included Makayla Yarborough, Timothy Yarborough, Grace Wyatt, Christina Black, Gianna James, Taylor Succarotte, Avery Wyatt, Michael Wyatt III, Jaylynn Wyatt, Brianna Wyatt, Mia Cope, Christopher Luce, Jade Luce; and great granddaughter, Melani Johnson. Because of her love for all children, she always made sure she had a pocketbook filled with candy to give to any child that she came in contact with.
Many of her years were spent working for the family business, E. Martin Construction, where she kept the books, networked with contractors, and often was found working side-by-side with her brothers and dad. She had a love for animals and a good yard sale, enjoyed music and dancing as well as traveling. Her favorite place to travel was West Virginia, where she spent many summers visiting family.
Plans for celebration of life are in the making. Please reach out to Brandy or Jessika for more information.
