Doris M. Smith Obituary
Doris Mary Smith, age 91, of Wilmington, DE, died on May 24, 2022.
Doris was a homemaker at heart. She enjoyed her large family, raising five children along with her husband, Marty. As a teenager, she enjoyed roller skating and competed in Couples Roller Dancing. Her faith was a big part of her life, she was a longtime member of the Church of the Holy Child in north Wilmington.
Doris is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Martin A. Smith, Sr. She is survived by her children, Deborah L. Tobin (husband Richard) of Cherry Hill NJ, Martin A. Smith, Jr of Thorndale, PA, Jeffery A. Smith of Georgetown, CO, David W. Smith (wife Gwen) of Wilmington, DE and Timothy J. Smith (wife Penny) of Mesa, AZ. In addition she is survived by her sister-in-law, Susan Beachboard (husband Gene), ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810 from 10:30am to 11:30am, where a Memorial Mass will begin at 11:30am. Inurnment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
