Dorothy Y. “Vonnie” Anderson, age 83, of Claymont, DE passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Accent Care Hospice, Christiana Hospital.

Dorothy was a graduate of Ridley Park High School, Class of 1958.  She was a member of Atonement Methodist Church since 1966, where she taught Sunday School and served on numerous committees.  Dorothy was a Stephen Minister. She retired as a para-professional at Brandywine School District.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Anderson, brother, Thomas Lees, parents, Margaret (Roth) Karczmar (John) and father, Thomas Lees. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Blevins (Perry), son, Frank Brian Anderson and granddaughter, Samantha Blevins, all of Claymont, DE; brother, John Karczmar (Sherry) of Rehoboth, DE, sisters, Marge Frohnapfel (Bob), JoAnn Ayres (Ron), all of Lewes, DE and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 10am to 11am at Atonement Methodist Church, 3519 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 where a Celebration of Life will begin at 11am.  Burial will follow in Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
