Edith “Eddy” Truselo-Moore, age 78, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025. Born in Wilmington, DE, Eddy lived a full and spirited life surrounded by family, love and laughter.
Eddy worked for over 20 years at Christiana Care as a Sterile Processing Technician, a job she took great pride in. Her dedication, warmth and strong work ethic made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the patients she helped support from behind the scenes.
She was a woman of many joys — she loved collecting dolls, watching western movies and never missed her favorite TV shows like Dancing With the Stars, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, and her beloved soap operas. Eddy had a playful side too — she was rarely seen without her favorite Lays potato chips (plain!) or a box of Whitman’s chocolates nearby. She cherished vacations and the memories made with her loved ones along the way.
Eddy was strong-willed, full of heart and loved deeply. She was not only a devoted wife and sister — she was truly the best stepmother ever, and her family will always be grateful for the love and care she gave so generously.
She is survived by her loving husband, Francis, “Sunny” Moore, 75, of Wilmington, DE; her children, David Truselo, John Truselo, and Elaine Masino; her brothers, George Francis Buckman, Sr. (wife Dorothy) of Staunton, VA, and Robert Buckman of Wilmington, DE; stepdaughters, Stephanie Gardnier, Yolanda Moore and Darnise Moore; 13 step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Eddy was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Vera Buckman of Wilmington, DE, and her sister, Virginia Smallwood of Claymont, DE.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her — through every laugh shared, every piece of chocolate enjoyed, and every moment she made brighter just by being herself.
The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am on Friday, October 10, 2025 at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Burial will be private.
