Edward Gamaitoni, age 69, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Edward was born in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Edward and Yvonne (Fawzon) Gamaitoni.  He attended Holy Rosary Catholic School 1961 to 1969, Salesianum High School 1969 to 1973 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware 1973 to 1977. Ed spent most of his life working for Porter Automotive Group in Newark, where he made many lifelong friends and served loyal customers.  He loved to ride his motorcycle, play the guitar and listen to music.

Ed was a loyal husband and father and loved by all that knew him.  He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kim Gamaitoni; sons, Chris Gamaitoni and his his wife, Tyler, Mike Gamaitoni, Josh Gamaitoni and his wife, Rebecca; 4 wonderful grandchildren, Collins, Walker, Flora and Zander; sister, Lynne (Gamaitoni) Kushto; brother, Jay Gamaitoni; and several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 10am to 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a Service will begin at 11am.  Burial will be private.
