Elizabeth M. Lavin

Elizabeth Mary Lavin, age 70, of Upper Chichester, PA, died on March 17, 2022

Born in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late John H. Lavin and the late Elizabeth “Betty” Sowa.  Ms. Lavin attended Chichester High School and retired from Verizon after a long career.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her close friends. 

Survivors include her sisters, Karen Riding (Geoffrey) of St. Marys, GA, and Susan Sowa of Upper Chichester, PA, in addition to her close friends, Diane Heacock and Wanda Gray.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John P. Lavin, her parents, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

A Visitation will be held at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 9:30am until 11:00am, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am.  Burial will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, 1701 Market St., Linwood, PA.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Providence Animal Shelter, 555 Sandy Bank Rd., Media, PA 19063.
