Geraldine C. Vitone “Gerri”, age 78, of Wilmington, DE passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Gerri worked for Dupont for several years and transitioned to a homemaker to be home to raise her children. She loved the beach and sitting in the sun at the pool. She also enjoyed riding around in her golf cart with her wine in one hand and her family or friend, Kathy, by her side or in her heart.

Gerri was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Vitone, with whom she is now reunited. Survivors include her son, Michael Vitone and his wife, Cari, of Lincoln University, PA; her daughter, Cheryl Gniewoz and her husband, Zach, of Wilmington; grandchildren, Michael, Jake, Peyton, Cole, Jayson, and Logan.

A viewing will be held from 10-11 am on Friday, February 28, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 4701 Weldin Road, Wilmington, DE.  Burial will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle, DE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends Home in Kennett, 147 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
