Hazel Marie Hardy, age 83, passed away surrounded by love on Friday, October 22, 2021.
Hazel was born and raised in Boissevain, Virginia on November 5, 1937. She was the daughter of Anne Chambers and Edward Sizemore.
Hazel enjoyed playing bingo and going to Delaware Park.
In addition to her parents, Hazel was sadly predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James Freeman Hardy; son, Billy Jo Hardy; grandson, Billy Jo Hardy Jr.; and brother-in-law, Woody Chambers.
Hazel is survived by her three children, Sheila Hardy Krauss (Walt), James (Buncie) Hardy and Donna Hardy Wright (Mark); her two sisters, Nancy Chambers and Elizabeth Hickman; her eight grandchildren, William Shahan (Amy), Anne Hollerman (Kevin), Angel Estep (Doug), Alyssa Thomas (Justin), Walter (Bud) Krauss III, James (Tink) Hardy, Nicole Poniatowski (Jason) and Stacy Flanagan (Mark); her 15 great grandchildren, Allysa Shahan, Felicia Shahan, Alexis Shahan, Little Will Shahan, Breanna Hollerman, Savanna Hollerman, Michael Estep, Adeline Estep, Jamison Estep, Avery Thomas, Audrey Thomas, Justin Thomas Jr., Brody Flanagan, Wyatt Flanagan and Julianna Flanagan. Hazel is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 10:00am until 11:00am at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a Funeral Service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
