Miss Helen Rupnicki, of Wilmington, DE, went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2025, at the age of 97.
Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Helen was the daughter of the late John and Mary Skolnicki Rupnicki. She was a proud graduate of Chester High School.
Helen was first employed by Westinghouse Corporation, where she remained a loyal employee for 13 years, before continuing her education while finding her true calling of nursing. Helen entered St. Francis School of Nursing in 1958 and graduated in 1961 as a registered nurse. She began her career and passion for taking care of others as a visiting nurse. Afterwards, Helen accepted a job at the Assisi House in Aston, PA, where she remained until her retirement in 2000. In addition to her work, Helen enjoyed being an active member in her church community and spending time with family and friends.
Helen is survived by her nephew, Charles (Nancy) Tierney; her great nephew, Charles Stu (Erica) Tierney; great niece, Eva (Michael) Grider; and several other family members.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:30am at St. Helena Catholic Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, Wilmington, DE 19809, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
