James Blair Martin Obituary

James Blair Martin, Jr., affectionately known as Jim or Jimmy, passed away on July 22, 2024.  Born to James Sr. and Beverly Ann Martin on June 4, 1967, Jim made friends wherever he went.

A graduate of Delcastle, Jim went on to serve in the U.S. Army and honorably discharged in 1991.  Jim spent his entire career employed in various construction jobs and home improvement stores including Brosius & Eliason, Creative Home Solutions and Lowes.

In 1995, Jim married the love of his life, Anne Marie Kelley and together, they adopted a beautiful little boy, Callen Michael.  Jim was a devoted father to Callen and loved spending time riding around the neighborhood on their adventures.

Jim loved sports and followed all the Philly sports teams.  He was an avid fan of Notre Dame football and cherished the several times he was able to attend games in South Bend. Jim’s favorite times were spending time with family.  In addition to his love for his son, his nieces and nephews were his pride and joy.

Preceded in death by his father, Jim’s memory will be carried on by his adoring wife, Anne Marie, his beloved son Callen, his parents Beverly Ann & Ken Morrison, his siblings Nichole, Shane, Shannon and Kenny (Nicole) as well as his Kelley family Joan, Tim, Dan, Jennifer, Chris and Jennifer and all his nieces and nephews.  He will be missed by his wide circle of friends who remember him as someone who always had a smile and loved to laugh.

A visitation will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703 on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am.  Burial will be private.
