John M. Barden III, age 60, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 10, 2025.
A devoted son, father, brother and grandfather, John had a deep love for the outdoors, spending his happiest moments hunting, fishing and appreciating nature's beauty. He did most of his hunting down at the C & D Canal and throughout the Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania area. As a talented landscape foreman, he left his mark on the world through his craftsmanship and passion for his work.
John was a proud graduate of Brandywine High School and Delaware Technical and Community College.
He is survived by his loving parents, Helen and John Barden II; his daughter, Brittany Barden; his grandchildren, Logan and Ruby; his brother, Bill Barden; and his sister, Pamela Barden-Fuhr. His warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
A viewing will be held at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 10am until 11am, where a funeral service will begin at 11am, followed by burial at Chester Bethel Cemetery, 2619 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19810. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon in John's honor at Harry's Savoy Grill, 2020 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE 19810 at 1:30pm/2pm.

John's spirit will live on in the landscapes he created and the hearts of those who loved him.
