John Edward “Eddie” Handlin, age 63, of Claymont, Delaware passed away peacefully at Wilmington Hospital early Friday morning July 28, 2023.

Over the years Eddie was employed by various companies including Tastykake and the Brandywine School District. He was an avid baseball fan and loved the Philadelphia Phillies, enjoyed listening to music,and loved his family and grandchildren very much.

Eddie is survived by his sons, Shane and Brandon and their families, as well as his oldest brother, Paul and younger sister, Cathy. His mother, Joan, father, John and brother, Mark have preceded him to heaven.

The Handlin family would like to invite you to a visitation on August 24, 2023 from 10am to 11am at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703, where a Celebration of Life ceremony for Eddie will begin at 11am.   Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Accent Care Hospice, 501 W. 14th Street, Wilmington, DE 19801.
