John Joseph “Jack” Thomas, Jr., age 72, of Townsend, Delaware passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Jack was born in Chester, PA to Mary M. (Morgan) Thomas and John J. Thomas, Sr. Jack grew up in Claymont, Delaware and graduated from Claymont High School in 1966. After graduation, Jack enlisted in the military where he served in Vietnam as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. After Vietnam, he went on to join the Navy, where he was an Engine Mechanic. Jack left his military service in 1977 to start his family with his wife Tonia (Snyder) Thomas.
Jack was a fun, loving person who enjoyed spending time with his family, playing pool, putting together puzzles and watching TV. He had many shows that he enjoyed watching, but his favorite were Judge Judy and Supernatural.
Jack was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Morgan, grandmother, Lucy Morgan, father, John J.. Thomas, Sr. and sister, Sharon Manla.
Jack leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Tonia Thomas; his daughters, Michelle Worrall (John), Mandy Thomas (Mike); his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Madison, Christopher and Myles; his sister, Leslie Tiner; his brother, Scott Thomas; his mother Mary Thomas; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
