John J. “Johnny” Donovan III, age 56, died unexpectedly and peacefully at home on May 9, 2021.
Johnny was born in 1964 in Wilmington, DE. He was the son of John J. Donovan II and Nancy L. (Egnor) Donovan. Johnny graduated from Mount Peasant High School in 1982.
Johnny enjoyed tinkering with things. He would take things apart and put them back together just to see how they operated. This led to his career as a computer technician.
Johnny was an avid baseball fan. He Loved the Cincinnati Reds and idolized Johnny Bench. He was an autograph and baseball card collector and loved going to Phillies and Blue Rocks games. He enjoyed music and was a huge Elvis Presley fan.
Johnny was a loving father, son, brother and friend. He adored and was so very proud of his children. He loved showing off their accomplishments.
Johnny was predeceased by his father, John J. Donovan II and his brother, Robert Brian Donovan.
Johnny is survived by his daughter, Shannon; sons, John IV and James; his mother, Nancy; sister, Tracy and brother, Kevin; aunts, Gloria Schneider, Deborah Humphries, Darlene Faison; uncle, Norman; along with cousins and friends.
A Life Celebration will be held on a future date.
