Joseph Francis Brown Obituary

Joseph Francis Brown, age 48, of Logan Township NJ, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024. He was lovingly surrounded by his family at the time of passing.


After graduating Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, Joseph started a mechanical trade working for Moreys Pier in Wildwood, NJ. Joseph then became a father in 2003 and shortly after, he met the love of his life, Tammy. He later got married in 2019, after being together for 13 years. Joseph devoted himself to being a loving father, husband, brother and son. He was a friend to all and had a remarkable sense of humor. In the last 5 years, he had become very devoted to his faith. Joseph was very passionate about sports, specifically the Denver Broncos. One of his idols being John Elway, Jr.


Joseph was preceded in death by his father, William Matonis.


He is survived by his wife, Tammy; mother, Patricia; daughter, Mikayla (Brian); brother, Michael (Ashley); nephew, Chase; and his niece, Alexis.


A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10am -11am at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. A funeral service will follow at 11am at Gebhart Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
