Kathleen M. “Kathy” Jones, age 73, of New Castle, DE, passed away suddenly on November 2, 2024 at her home in Minquadale. 

Kathy was a graduate of Nether Providence High School, class of 1969.  She was employed by Devco Mutual Association in her early years but most recently as an in-home healthcare aide in the New Castle area. Her strength, kind heart and love for her family and friends knew no bounds. She was a member of the Hall Burke VFW #5447 as well as the Loyal Order of Moose, both in the Wilmington, DE area.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Jones Sr., parents, John and Catherine Blanton, siblings, Albert Blanton and Christine Bennett. She was a loving mother and is survived by her son, Donald E. Jones Jr.; siblings, Jack Blanton (Robin) of Downingtown, PA, Mary Beth Michael (John) of Gilbertsville, PA; brother-in-law, Steve Bennett of Claymont, DE; nephews, John Blanton (Andrea), Steven Bennett (Debbie), Tom Michael (Shana Metrow), Jim Michael (Ashley), David Bennett and Brian Bennett. Kathy is also survived by her lifelong friends, Diane and George Murphy and Mildred Reese.  She also leaves behind many other friends, cousins and extended family members.

Service and burial will be held privately.
