Lee Julia Barmore, age 87, of Wilmington, Delaware, formerly of Brooklyn, New York, died on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the Wilmington Hospital.

Lee graduated from New Utrecht High School, Brooklyn, New York in June 1953.  She worked at New York Telephone until raising her children, she was a homemaker from then on.  Lee was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Wilmington, Delaware for many years.

Lee is preceded in death by her husband of 62 ½ years, Charles Barmore, who died December 13, 2017, and her son in law, Frank Andino, who died November 28, 2014.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathi Andino of Nazareth, Pennsylvania, and Lori Bishop and her husband, Clint of Wilmington, Delaware; her son, Scott Barmore of Wilmington, Delaware; her grandchildren, Jordan Amador and his wife, Erin, of Ossining, New York, Morgan, Ethan, and Colin Bishop of Wilmington, Delaware; her great grandchildren, Anoria and Valencia Amador of Ossining, New York; and her brother, Dennis Arnone of Wilmington, Delaware.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church, 1217 Wilson Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19803, from 9:00am until 10:30am where a funeral service will begin at 10:30am.  Burial will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery Bear, Delaware at a later date.
