Leslie Anne Nowak

Leslie Anne Nowak, age 74, of Claymont, DE passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, April 17, 2023.

Born in Wilmington, DE to the late Arthur Bennett and Alice Bennett, she graduated Claymont High School and attended Goldey-Beacom College. Leslie was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Thomas Nowak, Sr.

Leslie had worked various jobs throughout her career. She was a dental assistant, mail-clerk for a mail and business center, as well as an in-home childcare provider. Leslie enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, vacationing at the beach, cooking, baking and going out to her favorite restaurants along the Eastern Shore of Maryland. She was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Leslie will be remembered most by her never-ending devotion to her family.  Leslie is survived by her three children, Thomas Nowak, Jr. and his wife, Kristin of Downingtown, PA, Aimee Nowak-Emerson of Claymont, DE, Melanie Oberg and her husband, Mark Oberg of Wilmington, DE. Leslie was also the loving and proud Mommom to her three grandsons, Aaron Nowak, Gavin Emerson and Bennett Oberg. She is also survived by her brother, Douglas Bennett and his wife, Leanne of Bear, DE; and was the loving Aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Leslie will be remembered by her sense of humor and love for life. She will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to have known her.

Services will be private.
