Lewis W. Spence, age 91, of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, March 28, 2021.

Lewis worked at Sun Oil Company from the time he was 17 years old until his retirement at age 65. 

Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Betty of 71 years; his grandson, Tim Parylak; his sons-in-law, Michael Parylak and Michael Blanch.

Lewis is survived by two daughters, Donna Parylak and Cathy Blanch; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Monday, April 5, 2021 from 10:30am until 11:30am at the Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. Burial will be private.  All attending will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing to maintain compliance with State COVID-19 Regulations.  Admittance will be regulated.
