Obituary
Marian Loretta Knowles, age 80, of Claymont, Delaware, formerly of Bellefonte, Delaware, died June 15, 2023 at Penn Medicine, West Chester County, PA.
Marian was the daughter of the late Jack and Adelaide (Ridgaway) Toy. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. Marian spent her career working in the pharmaceutical industry at Hercules to Imperial Chemicals Industries (ICI) to AstraZenca. She was also an active member of the Harley Owners Group, or specifically the First State HOG Chapter of Delaware with her husband, Gordon.
Marian is survived by her husband, Gordon J. Knowles, Sr. and her son, Gordon J. Knowles, Jr.
A Committal Service will be held Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11am at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, Delaware 19701.
